Paxil vs. Zoloft - Panic Disorders Message Board

I was using paxil and weaned of it in February of this year, my anxiety/panic is back and my new doctor put me on Zoloft today.
Paxil did work fine for me however whenever i missed a dose I got really drowsy when moving my head to fast, so i stopped using it out of fear of dependency.
Is Zoloft a good medication? I'm skeptical of using more anti depressants.
I took prozac yeras ago but it didn't do anything for me.
I just would like to hear some thought on Zoloft,

Welcome to the board!! I'm on paxil now and am feeling really tired but I've only been on it a month now! My brother has been on zoloft for over 2 years and he hasn't had any side effects at all! That's what I had asked my doctor to prescribe to me but she said to give paxil a try first! Good luck

im on zoloft..been on it for like 4 years now and it did help me for a bit and then i started having panic attacks and the doc wanted me to start paxil and i didnt want too cuz of the side effects... so now imma be going on zoloft again... so i think zoloft will help ya and good luck...

Zoloft did not work for me and gave me terrible side effects. But My father was very happy with it. You just have to try it to know whether it works for you or not. If it's not working after 4 weeks, or if you experience unpleasant side effects that bother you too much, then Zoloft is not for you.
