Lungs that ache? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Does anyone have lungs that feel tight and painful all the time. I thought it was asthma, but no meds are helping and they have been painful for 2 weeks. They feel tight, painful and ache all day long. They are worst at night. Please help.

you should see a doc and be properly tested for asthma and other things, anxiety could be the cause, if so some valium type meds would relax the muscles and make breathing easy for a while

hry33, how long is "a while?" I had the exact same symptoms listed above, but I do have asthma, and the ER doc determined it was really anxiety. How long should I expect to take my xanax? A few days? I am REALLY hoping that this won't be a long-term problem. (The stressful events over the last few months seem to have just added up, plus I have always been a "worrier.")
