Does this sound like a panic attack? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Last night, I got up to feed my 2 month old. I changed her diaper and sat down in the chair to feed her, I started getting real hot and sweaty all over my body. I felt nauseous and like I was going to pass out. I called for my husband and he said I was really pale. My heart wasn't racing or any of the other panic symptoms. I take Lexapro for anxiety and have been on it for 2 months now. When I went back to bed, I started getting really cold, I woke up this morning feeling a little better but very uneasy. What do you think?

I think you need to call your doctor to inform him of your ordeal. It sounds like it could be a panic attack and it looks like you already experience anxiety problems since you are Lexapro. Maybe your dosage needs increasing. Again, I would talk to your doctor for peace of mind.

its unlikely to be the lexapro since you have been on it long enough to become used to it

anxiety or low blood sugar are possibilities

Though it sounds like a panic attack, it could also be related to low blood sugar, low blood pressure or anemia. Talk to your doctor, especially if this happens again.

that feeling is bad i know, but maybe its a side effect from the meds your on......
when that happens sit down and place your head between your knees. it kinds helps with the blood coming back to your head, breathe deep and lay down.
