If so there may be a strong fear of doing something stupid or embarrasing, creating a scene or drawing attention to yourself, in front of people you may meet again later, or in places to where you will have to return later.
you may find things are less stressful if you go to a town or place where you dont know anyone and need not ever return to.
keep reminding yourself that you need never see these people again, and your anxiety may be much less, enabling you to practise shopping, banking,fast food places, the hairdresser, etc, with much less fear or anxiety than usual.
some find it helpful to disguise themselves and become more anonymous with a hat and sunglasses.
with social anxiety, the panic attacks and anxiety are caused by people, rather than things or places.
