Post Exercise while experiencing shortness of breath

Am i going to cause myself any physical harm if i decide to run/workout during a minor panic attack? Specifically, shortness of breath?? Even though I've had asthma tests, and they've turned out ok, I still have this fear that if i run, i'm going to suffocate.

Hi Chris You won't cause any harm by exercising. I've read books that say staying active and exercising will help with panic attacks (although I don't exercise), did you ever try yoga? The breathing is very relaxing and I do do yoga to try and relax and calm myself down! Good luck!

Read chapter 20 on Relaxation and Exercise

exercise during anxiety or a panic attack is OK, as long as you relax as much as possible and get rid of all excessive tension, and breathe deeply

I know a person who rides an exercise bike at home when having a panic attack to deal with it.
