I started Paxil last night, and i'm dizzy as hell today. Is this normal? Also, How long does it take for the side effects to kick in? How long for them to subside? How likely am I to experience sexual dysfunction and/or weight loss? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hey Chris I've been on paxil for 6 weeks, haven't gained any weight, lost a few pounds, but honestly I started to feel within the first week, wether it was psychologically or not but they say it can take 4-6 weeks for them to have their full effect. I know I feel alot better already and my dizziness subsided within the first week or so. Just hang in there!! How many mg's are you on?
thanks for the encouragement. How much weight did you lose? I really can't afford to lose ANY. It sounds like the side effects get going right away. Not to gross you out, but I've made several trips to the bathroom this morning as well (another side effect I'm sure). I'm currently taking 12MG of Paxil CR. I took paxil (non cr) before and i quit too quickly to give it a fair shot. Well, this time I WILL stick with it. If I can't, I don't know how much longer I'll be able to handle these panic attacks.
hey Chris I've only lost a few pounds since I started taking paxil (20mg) but alot have complained of the weightgain, I guess it just depends on how your body reacts to it. Actually your trips to the bathroom should be slowing down as you adjust to it (I never have to worry about making any quick trips to the bathroom anymore if you know what I mean). Anyways just stick on the paxil, I thought I was having a breakdown when I started it, I couldn't even stand up without my head spinning and I felt like I couldn't face another day feeling that way. In a matter a weeks I can function alot better than I have over the last year or so! Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
Ive taken 20,30,40 MG Paxil,Paxil CR and Prozac and cant recall a time I felt Dizzy by the Meds alone.I do have Dizziness but feel its caused by Anxiety and Panic..Sorry I couldnt help you more but wish you the best and hope you feel better soon
