Klonopin - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hello,
Does anyone know if you can still get withdrawl symptoms if you don't take Klonopin everyday? This has been a rough weeks and I have taken it 4 days in a row. So now I am nervous that I will have withdrwal.

i've taken klonopin .5mg, 3x/day for almost 3 months. I'm now transitioning to an SSRI, and slowly tapering off the klonopin. Talk with your doc, but these Benzos can be highly dependent/habit forming. For some, withdrawal is non-existent, for others, its a nightmare. In your case, I doubt there is much to worry about considering you've only taken the drug several days in a row. I believe withdrawal is more of a concern with those on the drug for months and months.

Do you mean if you take it everyday for months and months? It was rx'd as needed and I have been taking it for a couple of months as directed.

Klonopin is the easiest benzo to wean off of because of it's long half life. I agree with Vic, after 4 days you should not have a problem. I'm new to these boards and what I don't understand is everyone seems to so concerned about being on meds and withdrawl. If the meds help and reduce/eliminate panic, why would you want to stop them?
