Red face Breathing

Hi,
I was diagnose with Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia 7 years ago.I was curious to know if anyone else out there has gasped,sighed,yawned or takes deep breaths often.Breathing is my number one trigger.I constantly watch myself breath,and feel if I don't take a deep breath every second I won't be able to breathe.If anyone experiences this,what did you do to lessen it or how did you overcome it?

do u have a hobby, that kind you can do and jsut relax and not have to worry stress or anything, i have a panic problem and we i start breathing heavy and stuff i jsut play my guitar and chill, so dp something thar relaxes yuo

I know that I probably breath a bit faster than I should. I also find that burping sometimes helps when I'm very stressed!

Not something I'd recommend at a dinner party though!

i feel like a canny breath sometimes aswell,i saw my phcologist yesterday and he told me to do this ,,,breath through ur nose ann let ur stomach push out..i realised when im breathing my stomach goes in ,instead of out.he says thats what im doing wrong im breathing from my chest instead of using my diofram,,that why he says im getting all the chest pains etc that make me think im having a heart attack.ive tryed it since yesterday but ill need to try get used to doing it correct ,,see if it helps u and let me ken how u get on.i feel like i canny get a deep anuf breath in and the more i try the more i panic,when i feel like that i know its bad but i clean my house it takes my mind of things but i dont reccomend u do that as im trying to stop that aswell.good luck ....

Hi!
i can relate to this!
breathing is one of those natural things we take for granted- unless we have an Anxiety/Panic disorder... heart beats, breathing and swallowing are all my "obsessions" when i am feeling anxious.

i have learned that i feel so alone when i check my heartbeat every five minutes, and when i worry my heart will suddenly stop- until i met other people with Anxiety- i realized there are so many people out there who are just like me, and that find out you arent alone is so much more reassuring than telling yourself you arent normal. (which i used to do).

just reassure yourself- you wont stop breathing... you simply wont.
