Trembling in Fingers - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hi everyone...I posted a message a few weeks ago, but wanted to make this more specific, just because I am so worried about this.

I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder 2 years ago and lately it has really flared up. I've had 3 really bad panic attacks in the past 2 months and now for almost a week and a half, I've had a constant tremor in my fingers in both hands. Everytime I look at my fingers, they're trembling. If I move them certain ways, they get really bad, it's almost like they start at the base of my fingers. It's really bad in my index fingers.

Has anyone else experienced anything else like this with panic disorder? A constant tremor in their hands? I'm so scared that's it's something like Parkinson's or Essential Tremor. I'm 23 and on no meds right now.

Should I make an appt with a Movement Disorder Specialist or a General Practitioner? Please help and thanks to everyone for reading!

See a GP asap. Not just for the tremor but especially for your excessive worrying about the tremor. The tremor could be just a tremor and nothing more but for your worrying you definitely need help. And for as long as you continue to ask google what's wrong you're going to feel worse.

And take a very assertive person with you when you see a GP to make sure you get thoroughly examined.

to IWS agree you should see a GP, what meds are you on as it could be a med side effect

You're both right. I am making the appt today. I'm actually in Balto, MD so I'm going to make an appt with Johns Hopkins since I'm already a patient there. I'm not on any meds though so that's why I'm worried. It's the waiting that is hard. I've never had tremor before with my panic disorder so I don't know why it would come about all of a sudden. Can I really make myself so worried that it gets worse? I guess all I can do is calm down and wait till I see my doctor, it's just so difficult not to worry. Thanks guys! I know I sound crazy!
