Worrywort~
All medicines react differently from one person to the next. So one med that caused weight gain in one person may do the exact opposite in another. What I would suggest is talking to your doctor about the concerns you have. Be specific (write them down before you get to the appointment) and don't let the doctor make lite of your concerns. I was an a med a couple of years back that caused me to gain 20 pounds (mind you I am 5' 2" and 105 normally) so even 5 pounds really shows on my petite frame and I recall the doctor saying "Well, you could use to gain some weight" and I was really ****ed. I am in no way underweight, I am actually muscular and work out regularly and I found it totally out of line for my doctor, who by the way is a very petite size 2 to say such a thing. So, go in to the appointment with an assertive attitude and ask questions. You could also research some medications on medicinenet.com.
