Anyone Tried XANAX XR - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone tried Xanax XR? My Doctor just switched me from clonopin .05 2 x a day to Xanax xr 1mg. It seems to work ok but wears off about 6 p.m. and I take it at 6:30 a.m. I also have had a hard time sleeping since switching 5 days ago. I am thinking it is a little withdrawl from the clonopin and adjusting to the xanax....... Anyone with input is great appreciated!

Hi, it is possible to have withdrawl symptoms from the old benzo when swapping to a new benzo
the xanax XR website seems to be saying XR is supposed to last 'all day' which isnt very precise
might be an idea to take a smaller klonapin dose as well for a while

You'll have just as bad withdrawls from Xanax as you will any benzo drug. Be carfeul. I've been taking 1 mg Ativan for 18 years 3x a day and I probably will for the rest of my life. All because of panic disorder.
I do not abuse them, and they have helped me. Just be sure to ask your doctor if this is short term or long term.

to amy, if you can find an antidepressant med that works foryou, then much less xanax will be needed
