Body Temperature??? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Ok, I don't know about anyone else, but my body temperature is weird. Like one minute I'm so hot that I'm sweating. Then the next minute, I'm so freezing cold. It always happens before and after an attack. Is that normal for panic disorder? Anyone else experience it? Thanks ahead of time.

Yep, it sounds very familiar to me.
When I'm having an attack I get very hot to the point of sweating, then when it's over I can feel my temp dropping.
That's why I stay out of the heat and humidity as much as possible.
I could feel just great and then go outside in the hot weather and have an attack.
I guess in my head...heat = panic attack.

a feeling of freezing and shivering are common from anxiety and panic attacks,followed by feeling hot and sweaty

YES! YES! YES!!

This is very normal with panic disorder. I thought that I was getting sick (about every other day) lol
I would get so hot I thought i was having hot flashes at the age of 20! then i would get soooo cold. I would go back and forth like this and i hated it. Could never be comfortable.

What helped me was getting my panic under control, and there are times that it still happens a little but not as bad.

Hang in there, you can and will get better with patience and endurance...

Peaches31....you said until you got it under control. Did you use meds? If not, how? I'm curious.
