hi guys - Panic Disorders Message Board

i have a ?.. do any you have attacks in drs offices& if you do, do you find that they become afraid of you after& end up dismissing you? in the past months, i have been faced with this very thing with @ least 3 different drs& I JUST THINK ITS WRONG. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Yes, the Doctor's office is the worst place for me.
I've had attacks in my GP's office, the Eye Dr. and the Dentist's office.
But I have to say that I have never had one of them treat me bad, or not want to see me again because of it.
I have very caring and understanding Doctor's.

Doctor's take an oath to help people, not treat them badly or dismiss them.
In my opinion what those Doctor's did to you was unprofessional not to mention unethical.
I think if it were me, I'd be calling someone to report them.

all docs should be able to recognise a panic attack by now, I suggest you type'panic attack' into the net and get a list of symptoms and send it to the doctors, also I wouldnt go back to them
do you have any unusual behaviour during your panic attacks that you can remember?

thanks gracie. thats what i think too. the last situation like that was 2 days ago, but he was a dr that works for no fault so no biggie but the other two were an ortho& a physical medicine dr(they were not no fault drs) i keep wondering what this world is becoming...

actually no. nothin that would harm anyone. visibally my muscle tense up& i cover my face& thats it& of course i hyperventiilate.
