Cool panic relief

Hi I would just like to say that i would recomend a homeopathic doctor to all of you. I recently found a lot of relief from my homeopathic doctor. She told me all my panic was caused by my diet. I never ate healthy, usually mcdonalds 4 times a month, always eating on the go etc. etc. She decided to put me on a strict diet. It consist of no dairy, no pork ,no sugar of any kind, no oils, certain types of fruit,etc. It doesnt leave much but it really helped. she also gave me pills to clean out any bacteria of parasites that may be causing my panic. I recomend it!

IMO, most of the help is probably coming from the placebo effect, many alternative health people blame diet and food allergies for anxiety and panic attacks but their diets dont help for long

You're right, a lot of people should take a look at their diets. It is probably the most important change you can make when trying to get rid of panic attacks. Most doctors like to pretend that diet has absolutely nothing to do with this (mine included), and end up blaming everything on the serononin problem.

As though our problem is a lack of Paxil. It's ridiculous.

Hi,

I always feel better when I eat better. It doesn't take away the anxiety issues that I have, but it definitely helps with how I physically feel. And when I feel better, I cope better.

I am not sure if I believe 100% that a panic disorder can be caused solely by the foods that a person eats, and that a "cure" can come strictly from diet. However, there are some medical conditions that CAN be treated with diet so that symptoms virtually disappear, so I guess anything is possible!

So good for you Ash, if you've found something that works well for you! Please keep us posted on how things go for you as you stay on this diet.

i'm sure diet to an extent has something to do with anxiety. but i think its somewhat related to how one feels after eating right. i know after a nice #1 from McDonalds, i feel like junk. i regret eating it, and i feel....blah. but after a nice salad and piece of fish or something, i think, "ahh, that was good for me, i feel good." so i think that plays a role in it too. and try to quit smoking. i smoke daily, and am trying to quit. i was told that stimulant could really cause some anxiety
