Hey guys...Am having a very bad last two days...Am so glad we have the board to vent on..Have recently given up paxil because of weight gain...but have been having very hard time...I have my xanax to take and have been taking a half of .025 almost everyday for the last month since stopping paxil...also been taking st. johns and magnesium but am having panic attacks everyday.. some bad and some not so bad..I am a nurse for homehealth and have to do alot of driving on my job and going out in the county alot those r the worst times,if i stay in town not so bad...also so hard to talk to people who don't really don't understand what i am going through....I thought i could make it without the meds....but i don't think can....Any ideas for new meds beside the paxil and zoloft family...Sometimes i really feel like giving up...help

Hi, none of us like taking meds but we probably have a chemical imballance that the meds correct.

did the paxil reduce your anxiety, how long were you on it? there are many other antidepressants to try

your xanax dose is very small, if increasing it, beware of drowsiness when driving, also a xanax dose only lasts about 2 hours

Cool

Hey Kentuckychick. As hard as it may be, never give up. You're not alone. There have been many times where I wanted to just fall over and maybe wake up years later, sometimes I still feel that way. Except I remember that there is a reason for everything, and there is a reason that we are all still alive and breathing. So as much as you might want to give up, don't. Things will get better. Even though it feels like it will, this won't last forever. Smile, you live longer. Sorry I can't give you advice, but I can give you some support. I hope all works well for you, keep us posted.
