Post here's a good topic

what triggers your panic attacks:
mine is usually a sudden out of body experience, and go into panic mode trying to figure out what is wrong with me.

Over the years I have learned that panic has many many many many triggers and to get better a person has to relize just how many triggers there can be. Hell just the change of lighting can casue it I found that out going into stores with floursent lighting even the the dieing sun at sun down the light changes can trigger it. OH NO can trigger it! Even a differnt smell can trigger it! Or just seeing something out of the coner of your eye like a differnt color can trigger it. Hell Familura places can trigger it when you are feeling the unrealty and they dont seem the same only because you are in such a state of self examining!

Many many many many differnt triggers for this stuff and the key to getting better is to teach your on self that 99.9% of the time if you have Anxiety what seems like might go wrong DONT! So the next time you have a litter twinge dont go blistic just stay calm and tell yourself its noting and go on dont sit there and think about it that is the worst thing you can do.

Hell one time i was drivin down the country road and seen a blink out of the coner of my eye off in the distance and thought what the hex was that and then another blink in front of me i thought damn my eyes are going but as a old vet of this stuff i said stay calm THERE IS ALLWAYS A EXPLINATION FOR EVERY THING so I did I didnt panic just kept looking and sure enought there was a radio tower wayyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyy off in the distances on my left side and I waited alittle longer and sure enought there was one wayyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy off in the distance in front of me far enought you couldnt see the tower or legs of it but you could see the ligths thats just a example of how a trigger can set some one off and it would have me if i had not have figure out THAT EVERY THING HAS A EXPLANATION AND USALLY IT IS JUST SOMETHING SIMPLE AND NOT YOU GOING CRAZY ARE IMAGINEING THINGS!

Know there is manyyyyyyyy manyyyyyyyyy triggers not just a few for this stuff and learn to just sit and stay calm a little longer and say to yourself iam gonna look again or iam gonna hold on for a few seconds and see what is really going on here after you do that a few times you will find you no longer panic quite as qucik and that is a major majorrrrrrrrrr step in getting youselfs better, Belive me Iam a 20 year vet of this crap and if it can happen it has happend to me I just had to figure out how to stop it and HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine usually starts with a sudden feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get a tingly sensation in my head and feel really dizzy. When I get this feeling I get scared and panic. Then, I usually end up at the ER with an anxiety attack, but, at the time, I'm always convinced that it isn't anxiety. I always think there is something really wrong with me and feel like I'm going to die. I've been to the er about 10 times in the last few months. They probably think I'm nuts!
