Zoloft - Panic Disorders Message Board

I contacted my dr. about the problems I was having with Paxil and that I stopped taking it. The headaches were just unbearable. And Paxil CR didn't help at all. So, he gave me Zoloft. I haven't picked it up from the pharmacy yet, but I am just wondering how it is. I mentioned Lexapro, Effexor, and Wellbutrin b/c I have friends who are successful on those meds, but he gave me Zoloft instead.

What should I expect from this if I try it. I'm just scared I'll have bad headaches again that made me not want to function. Does it help people like me? Please share your advice/experience with me. Thanks.

I tried it once and it gave me a headache and very bad nausea. I couldnt keep taking it but it may be different for you. Some people say it works very well for them.

Zoloft really worked for me and didn't cause any weird side effects. I'm not taking it right now, because I'm pregnant. But it really helped with the panic attacks.

Zoloft worked wonderfully for me!!!! No known side effects that I can remember. I am 25 and took it since I was 20(long term I know!).... I am not taking it presently b/c I was doing soooooo well, and my doc agreed I could go off of it. I did so in Feb and did well until June. I am now on celexa and have been for 5 weeks. Not sure if it is really working for me. Hmmmmm My advice... is what works for one person is not going to work for another. Best wishes to you in your treatment! Keep us all posted please and thanks!
