throat closing - Panic Disorders Message Board

is it normal to feel like your throat is closing and it is hard to breath? I hate this feeling because I used to have asthma but I grew out of it! any help would be great!

That happens to me also. I get a tingling in my mouth and throat as well. When I come out of the attack I feel like I've been holding my breath and I'm gasping for air. I also end up clinching my teeth so bad my jaws hurt.

when my attacks come on my throat feels like it is constricting , heart feels like it will pop out my mouth , feel like a cat on a hot tin roof , pace the floor , sweat out , barely can breathe.

Doctor has me on 30 mg's paxil 1 daily.
Ativan 4 mg's X 4 daily .
