wellbutrin sr? - Panic Disorders Message Board

I was just wondering if anyone has taken wellbutrin sr and if it helps with anxiety and panic attacks as well as paxil? I was thinking of switching to it.

youd have to try it out for yourself. everything works differently on different people. paxil helped me soo much with social anxiety but now im on wellbutrin and its not as good

in my limited experience and from what several doctors have told me, wellbutrin can be significantly LESS effective for many people than paxil and other SSRIs-- for anxiety at least. i noticed, and i've been told, that wellbutrin tends to have a stimulating (i.e., potentially anxiety provoking) effect, at least for the first month or so. i've heard it tends to work better for depression, and as an acccompaniment to SSRIs to help with fatigue, sexual side effects or weight gain.

In my case, it was the other way around. Zoloft (an SSRI) made me very anxious, and Wellbutrin did not. Everyone is different.
