After being on paxil for alittle over 6 weeks my sex drive and ability to have an orgasm is still horrible! No matter what me and my bf try NOTHING is working!!! I am so frustrated, I still get the urge to want to have sex but it seems to be a waste of my time. Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks.

its a very common problem, viagra sometimes helps both men and women

Hi ya

I would talk this over with the doctor and tell him/her about the sexual side effects.Maybe he/she can change the dosage or prescribe a different SSRI.

I have taken 20,30 and 40 MG and Paxil CR 25 MG 2 tablets once a day for 6-7 years with no sexual side effects.

It may be an individual problem.

I just recently left my b/f's house after staying for a couple of days. I hadn't seen him prior to this since I've been on the Paxil. I thought I would be into it since I had the urge while we were apart. I found that I was wrong. I don't have another appointment until Sept. so I hope I can last that long!! I will be asking for something that will help. I don't really want to bounce around from med to med. Hang in there and we'll all figure this out together
