Unhappy Crippling panic attacks FEAR muscle tension

I first had a panic attack at 15 since then they have come and gone until when i was 21 i got it into my head that i had a serious illness and that i was going to die i soon came down ill with glandualr fever and i had weird missing heart beats and a pulsing effect in my eyes , i had my heart checked and the doc said it was healthy i also had a MRI brain scan and it was normal, im 24 now and i still havent come to terms with having anxiety disorders i often feel the doctor might have missed something and i could think its psychological when infact it may be a unknown disease! recently ive been feeling so tense everyday i can feel the stress and i just cant relax and when i do i feel so weird my panic attacks come on anytime i think negatively or anytime i feel depressed there stronger than before i feel the surge through my body i couldnt feel my shoulders or move them cause of tension my mind goes blank and i try to relax my breathing but when i seem to relax i have this other surge in my body and i have a trembling that wont stop my stomach seems to effect me too it takes an hour to recover from them ive heard about cognitive therapy and things but i dont think any amount of will power is going to work when im in such a high anxiety and high stressfull state!! everybody sensation i have i feel its like a rollercoaster your always feeling the fear does anyone else feel this way? i just was so overcome from depression that my mind went weird and i panicked i feel if it goes on im gonna have a nervous breakdown i even now cant walk along the street my body feels so tense its crippling me am i alone on this! and does anyone feel there body seizes up and slows down like the blood flow and cant stand its so frightening

Everything you describe is common to panic disorder and other forms of anxiety. Stress and anxiety can play very intricate tricks on one's mind, and you really have to get to the underlying issues. Oftentimes panic and anxiety are the result of an imbalance in serotonin, which can deplete with excess stress and an inability to cope with that stress.

People with panic and anxiety often ruminate over every last little physical and mental symptom, which only serves to exacerbate the problem by raising anxiety levels. It really is a snowball effect.

You'll be best served by getting a referral to a psychiatrist by your physician. Typical treatments include a combo of cognitive behavioral therapy and antidpressants. You really shouldn't let this continue to compromise your mental and physical health, and overall happiness. It is a very treatable condition, and one that you should seek help for as soon as possible.

to scotsman,
IMO the first thing you need is a supply of valium type meds, a large dose will enable you to get out, go places, see people and start your recovery

some will power is needed to recover, but much of recovery is simply to learn new ways to calm yourself and cope better with stress
