ECG/Heart Recording - Anxiety? Help!? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can help, I have a lot of symptoms of anxiety, only just realising it! I saw my doctor yesterday who said that he will do an ECG/Heart Recording. Has anyone else had this, does it show that I have a problem? I get all the symptoms, very nervous and shy person, I sweat lots, I get the shakes, my legs feel wobbly etc… so why has my doctor requested I have this done?

He is most likely doing it to rule out other things and to ease your mind a little that it is just anxiety. My doc gave me one and I am only 25, it came out fine and I still trip out! have a good one

Hi,
I have had many EKG's. My Dr. seems to want to do one just about anytime I go in there. Like worrywort said, your dr. is probably doing this to rule out any problems and to give you peace of mind.

I've had several EKG's also.
Like everyone else said, I'm sure it's only to give you peace of mind.
The first time I had a panic attack my Doctor did one and I was only 16.

That is good that your dr is doing this. Like the others said it will also give you your own piece of mind.
