When I was in college, I experienced pretty severe relationship anxeity. I was seeing a therapist and we did EMDR. She told me that it is believed that anxeity is related to eye movements. Basically, she had me picture a scene which would cause me the most anxeity and then she put a pen in front of my face and moved it around and I followed it with my eyes. Unfortunetly, at the time we did this, my relationship had ended so I wasn't experiencing any anxeity. Therefore, I cannot tell you whether it was effective or not. When my current relationship started, I stil had the same anxieties. I think the EMDR would have been more effective if she would have done it while I was still in the relationship and experiencing anxeity. All of that said, I think you should give it a try. Nothing bad can come of it. It's worth a try. Will you please let me know if it helps you?
