Post do doctors care? HELP

I don't know what to do anymore, I have switched doctors and my new doctor doesn't seem concerned just like my last doctor. I tell her how I feel, dizzy, headache's a lot, shakey, e.t.c. I know I have anxiety and ocd. I always worry about myself, I read a lot of other post and there doctors do test on them and I have never had a test except blood work and I had a ct scan about a year and a half ago for a really bad headache(my first migraine). I am all out if ideas, they just hand me effexor and send me on my way. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks and sorry it's kinda long. have a good day.

Here's the truth: Doctors don't care. Why? 'Cause they know you ain't gonna die, even though you're completely convinced that you will. They know they're gonna see you next week, next month, next year, and someday you'll be in control of your anxiety and that'll be that. To them, it's just not a life and death situation like the ER... it's just some chick who's a bit nervous.

Until that time, you're just helping them pay off their yacht.

Doctor's ain't gonna cure you -- you are gonna cure you, by reading books on panic disorder, learning to relax by listening to your body, learning some basic coping techniques, and cultivating better living habits -- and learn how to barbeque, that comes in handy also. Nothing like a good steak.

Anyway, baring any chemical imbalance, the more you realize it's you who's gonna pull you through this, the less time it's gonna take to get there.

Sad but true. Which really isn't reassuring at all, huh? I stopped switching docs and all that because there really will be nothing in the end. TypeRighter nailed it..."the more you realize it's you who's gonna pull through this, the less time it's gonna take to get there." Excellent point. Excellent truth as well. Worrywort, maybe you will be lucky someday, and you'll get a doc who cares.....maybe any of us will get lucky. Just keep positive...even though it's just so hard sometimes.
Heh, my first doc told me I was crazy then sent me home. Yep, when I was most scared, most in pain, he told me I was crazy.
Try To Remain Positive,

That's a terrible thing to have happen to you.
The first time you go to a Doctor and he tells your you're crazy.
Sounds like a REAL nice guy!!!

That's one thing I can say about my Doctor, he's been nothing but great with me.
He lets me talk on and on and he listens to me.

I remember the first thing I said when I went to his office was..."I think I'm crazy."
And his answer was..."No, you're not and don't ever let anyone tell you that you are."
Guess that's why I've stuck with the same Doctor for almost 20 years.

I know I will get better on my own, My question is how can they rule out other things when they don't do any test? I far as I know they don't read minds. I just feel uncomfortable with a doc who could give a **** less because your right I AM PAYING THERE YAUGHT!. I don't go to the doctors often, only when I am sick maybe once every 2 or 3 months. maybe my anxiety is high right now because I found out I have endometriosos, and may not be able to have children. I don't know but I think I deserve better and I will tell my doc that, actually she is only a nurse prac. Not even a full doctor. Anyways, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. have a great day, and wishing the doctors a wonderful day on there yaught.
