Chest pain and Anxiety - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hi,
I also posted this on the Stress/Anxiety forum. I was just wondering how many of you get chest pain with anxiety. I used to get chest pressure/pain off and on, but lately I get it on a daily basis. It also extends into my left arm and back and seems to get worse with exertion. My dr. still thinks all of this is due to anxiety, but I'm seeing a cardiologist tomorrow to make sure. I was just wondering if anyone else gets this. Hilery

I get alot of chest pain when I am under stress. I also have a pain condition that dosn't help matters.

That is a good idea to have this checked anyway.

Hi just wanted to let you no i also have these chest pains in my chest, back and also in my left arm, jaw , neck..just like if i was having a heart attack and ive had these for years....i had it checked out a thousand times(lol) they tell me its stress.....just so hard to believe though! i'm only 27 and im so sick of being (or thinking ) im sick all the time!

I also get pain in my chest, but sometimes I get an ache in my left arm, not really pain but an ache, My doc thinks because I sleep on it, it comes and goes. I am young and don't think I have any heart problems, I would like to know what causes this. does anyone have this symptom?

Thank you for your replys. It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one who has this.
I'm only 23, so I know it's not very likely that I have a serious heart condition. Sometimes I just have a hard time believing anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms. I've already had numerous tests done and everything has been normal so far. Maybe after seeing the cardiologist tomorrow I'll feel a little better.

Worrywort, I also get an achy feeling in my left arm. It also feels really weak.
