Scared..anybody with these symptoms - Panic Disorders Message Board

It started at the end of September when I was going through the aisle at Target..halloween section.
The flashing lights through me into a very bad dizzy spell. I figured that I hadn't eaten and was just not feeling good and didn't think much of it until the next week at Target - same aisle - I had another "episode". Then a couple days later, driving, the sun peeked through the trees and again..a bad dizzy spell. I went to the dr. and described my symptoms (flashing lights made have a dizzy spell that lasted about 30 seconds and then it just tired me out afterwards). I had heart tests (I have a left bundle branch blockage..no biggy), blood test (came out to be pretty anemic) and everything else was fine.

I went to New York for a wedding this weekend and when the photographer was taking a picture, the 2nd flash threw me into a dizzy spell. I was cognitive, but I couldn't see straight for about a minute. I am so afraid. I do get stressed very easily..but I never thought I could be having panic attacks. And now people keep mentioning MS to me? My family dr. is concerned, but thinks it is more with my heart..and I just don't know.

Please..anybody?

There are many mild forms of epilepsy. Dont worry not the end of the world if thats what it is, there are simple pretty safe meds for correction. Have you ever gone to a specialist and been checked for that. But it probably is panic. I dont think us humans were made for all of the excitement like flashing lights neon and quick moving objects. A fast heart rate is ok. Nothing has gone wrong with your heart if they did an EKG and found nothing. I think its to coincidental it being a problem with your heart in these type of situations. Believe me when there is something a little off with your heart it reacts when it wants not just near flashing lights or exciteing situations. What do you think?

Bright or flashing lights have always bothered me too.
In fact I don't go to places like Wal-Mart to often, because of that reason.
There's something about the lighing in those places that drives me crazy.
I did mention it to my Doctor and he told me that a lot of people with panic disorder have problems with bright or flashing lights.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
