Klonopin or Xanax? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Ok, I've been told that Klonopin is good to take along with an anti-dep. from a friend who has been on everything. Now, I just read that K is also a benzo like Xanax. Who has experience with K and is it or it's affects anything like X? I have a hard time with X cause I can feel when it wears off & it leaves me shakey. Thanks

Klonopin stays longer in your system, but it also takes longer to act, you don't feel the Xanax instant relief. Klonopin was not for me, it made me sleep too much. But it was easier for me to taper off Klonopin compared to Xanax.

Janik, thanks for your reply, I need something that makes me sleepy, I haven't had a good nites sleep in 2 weeks now since being put on Lexapro. thanks again.

I just started taking Zoloft and Klonopin. I've taken Klonopin for two nights now and it is great stuff!! It makes me VERY relaxed and helps me sit still and I get a GREAT night's sleep. But since it makes most people sleepy, my doc says it's best to take at night before bed.
