lorazepam(Ativan) for Panic!?!? - Panic Disorders Message Board

Hi.
I didnt like taking Klonopin so my Dr. Switched me to Ativan....ok heres the story.
One night I felt like I had something wrong with me on the the way to the ER I had a panic attack...At the ER I had 2 more!!!(Ive never had more then 1 in a day)
They gave me and injection of Ativan.I loved It!!!
However I cant remember everything that night becuase of the shot but I remember everything I seen was double.well now I have lorazepam(Ativan) pills .5 MG.But Im scared to take them..
Anyone ever used this medicine?how did It work for you? Also I read online that It shouldnt be used by people under 18.Im only 17 will be 18 In 6 months.Is that a difference?Please help....any info will be great ....thanks In advance.

ativan and klonapin are both benzo or valium type meds
these are all basicly the same, but some like and trust 1 more than the others
they are safe if taken sensibly and your age is OK for them

read up on coping with panic attacks also

hi i know someone i used to work with thats on it,and it says it works for him,but everyone's body chemistry is different.So alot of people try alot of things to finally figure out what works for them

rain, my doc gave me ativan too! I also got the ativan at the hospital(e.r.)same thing happened to me, i had panic attacks one after another! weird. The generic ativan does not work like the one the doc gave you. I also have the .5 actually I don't feel it does much, I used to take them 2 times a day but my doc gave me something new, I don't have it with me right now but I let you know what it is.have a good one
