Caffeine induced panic attacks

There have been a few times where drinking caffeine causes me to really freak out and have a bad panic attack. One time I felt like I was having a stroke, and another time I was shaking for like 3 hours.
The things is,I wasn't even drinking high amounts of it.Like,3 cups of coffee.

Sometimes alcohol also causes the panic to come on.

Is anyone else effected by these things?
It really sucks having to avoid everyday things like coffee and beer or wine because it induces panic.

Re: Caffeine induced panic attacks

I also get big stress reactions from caffeine and alcohol. I consider it a blessing in disguise. Neither are all that terribly healthy for us, you know?
I feel SO much better when I just stay away from it. Hope you will too

Re: Caffeine induced panic attacks

Hi,thanks.I appreciate the reply.I guess it could be a blessing in a way.
I think I just feel left out because everyone I know drinks (socially) and I can't.

I always reach for caffeine when I'm tired though even though I know I shouldn't.

Re: Caffeine induced panic attacks

When I eat food with MSG and sugar in foods like bread, white rice, etc. I start having them. I take activated charcoal if I must eat any of these if I have to go to a party or eat out. I take it before I eat so it can absorb the toxins and chemicals and it works. Just do not take any medications 2 hours before and after activated charcoal because it will absorb it. Please also read What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause by Dr John Hanley. It just might be the answer to your panic attaks because it was with mine. I only take a progesterone cream twice a day and other vitamin supplements. No drugs, no happy pills for me.

Re: Caffeine induced panic attacks

That is what happened to me, twice, driving on the freeway, too much coffee, no food, went to ER, but have now developed a panic/agoraphobia attitude. Cut back on coffee, and eat something!
