Since last Sunday I've been experiencing this sort of numbing sensation and everyday it feels like its getting worse. It's sort of like your body is turning into jelly, I have muscle control but I can barely feel when I pinch myself sometimes. I have no other symptoms except that I occasionally get upper left back pain that doesn't last for no more than maybe a couple seconds. I went to a health clinic last Monday and the doctor there said it was parathesia. Whatever it is, it's spreading and is even up to my forehead and down to my feet
Paresthesias are often associated with peripheral neuropathy, which can be from something as basic as vitamin deficiencies. This symptom though requires a workup from a Dr, preferrably a neurologist, especially when symptoms appear suddenly and progress rapidly, as there are other conditions more serious that can cause this. I would get an app't with a good internist or neuro to check it out.
