spinal cord injury and paralysis

This is my first post. I have spinal cord injury and recovered from paralysis of my legs with rehab. But I have many other problems connected with surgery. Its been two years and I walk with walker. My legs feel like they are getting more numb, along with my feet. I have nerve pain in rectal area
and feel like I have a rock up my rectum. Dificult to walk, sit, stand, lay. I am getting injections for burning & pain and am med for nerve pain. I am getting no relief and am afraid of becoming paralysed again!!!!!!! They say some of this is just a "sensation". I don't believe that! I had MRI.
I cannot stand the rectal pain. I feel I have no quality of life!
I can't imagine living like this!!! Have been hanging out in my room.

Any thoughts on how to change my out look???
Good wishes to all of you!!!!!

Re: spinal cord injury and paralysis

Hello Trish,

How long have you been injured and at what level? When you say recovered, are you talking about before injury normal? Was you bladder and bowels affected by this paralysis?

Good luck.

BACK rubs, sit ups, and tequilla helps..... After a while the tingling fades away. you might try acupuncture ive been told, but they wont take my medi-cal insurance....
