| Children and abusive seperation
Hi,
My sister just left her abusive husband of nine years....The problem is the children, her son is 9 but has adhd and is now even giving her a harder time....The 7 year old has just blocked everything out like nothing is wrong....Now that they are seperated my sisters husband has made some detailed threats into hurting her like her not getting up again, this has been report to the police and he was arressted becuase of not being the first time....The sad thing she has not told the kids nothing but right before this happen the father sat and told the kids what he thought of their mother and not in nice words either....Since then they have not been visiting him until my sister gets full custody...But with all that he already said at the last visit what kind of damage does this do to children???I'm trying to help her but i'm lost of to tell her how she can help her kids so they aren't caught in the middle....The nine year old is becoming out of control she has not help with him and i live about an hour away from them....He is even becoming disrespectful to other family members....The little girl is just seems to be in her own little world but i don't know if that's a good thing....She seems distant for others but her mom....Any advce...
