Well we seem to have a huge problem buying a baby gate to fit around our wood stove. IT needs to be 4ft 8'' x 4ft 3'' x 4ft 8''. or 191 inches all together. I've looked everywhere but I can't find one big enough or even one with extentions big enough. We were thinking of making one but don't even know where to start. Anyone encounter a similer problem? Or have any idea's on what we can do?

Have you check out one of those big pet stores -- I know they make different types of fences to keep puppies enclosed -- I've seen octagon shaped ones

check one step ahead or a dog website like foster smith or carealot.

they also make childrens play yards (basically a bunch of baby gates together, with an opening gate on one side).....i think i saw them at burlington coat factory, but not sure....
a friend of mine had one and she used it in the house to keep the baby in the living room, but away from the furniture and glass stuff...

i t was pretty darn big though.....should fit around your stove without too much hassle.....it was free standing too

we had the same problem when our oldest was learning to walk and etc, our living room and kitchen adjoin and we wanted to keep the areas seperate.
we went to toys r us and bought a supergate, it fits our 5 1/2 ft opening. it was only like $30.
