Question toilet training puzzle?

My 3.5 almost never want to sit on toilet or potty at home and if she did she never produced anything. But daycare person said that she is walking without diaper at daycare and does everything in the potty. By the time we take her from there, she has a diaper and normally that diaper is wet.
Is it possible that daycare provider lying?

Re: toilet training puzzle?

Your child sounds perfectly normal to me. DS is in the process of getting potty trained. They wear training pants and plastic pants over them at school -- even during nap time. Home it's hit or miss. He won't tell me he's gone potty in his pants, last Sunday he dropped a huge LOAD and he wasn't wearing a diaper. Not fun.

I recall last year one of the teachers who had a 3 year old at the daycare and complained that DD was trained at school (as were all her friends), but home -- no such deal.

Toddlers! Heck, DS has done this to us with other milestones -- walked for two months before we knew it, held his own bottle, fed himself. Must be a peer pressure issue

Re: toilet training puzzle?

Little ones try to make up for lack of "paren" snuggling, cuddling, attention etc. they do not get while at day care.

If you try to give the little ones more individual attention at home, they will be more likely to not revert back to being a baby in order to get attention even if it is in a negative manner.

I think it's just like when my son is an angel for anyone that watches him, and then when we're home, the horns come out! They know that they get away with more with you! I haven't crossed the bridge of potty training, but I've heard that consistancy is key.
