Red face Can dd has problem with holding it?

My mother is worried that my 3.5 y old dd has problem with holding poo and pee that's why she doesn't use potty or always says that she is wet. Are there any tests?

Have you spoken to her pediatrician about this? She may have a UTI, which they can test through a urine sample.

Wink Re: Can dd has problem with holding it?

In some cases I would say that maybe this is normal, but you just can’t go on that because most of the time is can be a cause of something different. I have seen this before and had first hand knowledge of this going on in our family with one of the children, as of matter of fact two of them. One of them started gaining more control around the age of five, however one of them had the problem well into her seventh year, but soon gained the control.
I have to agree you should talk to your family doctor about this issue, but most likely they are going to tell you that it will clear up soon, most kids just don’t have that control and seeing that your child is only 3 almost going to be 4 I really wouldn’t start worrying too much at this time, yes you can be concerned, but just let nature take its course.
