Angry potty training problem

My 3.5 y old dd instead of sit on a potty when she is wet, facinated with different type of pull-ups. Whenever she pee or poo, she goes and changes pull up. She likes pictures on it. Daycare provider says that she uses potty there but she never does it at home. I don't know what to think about it.

Re: potty training problem

DS also always used the potty at school but not at home. THen we got rid of the pull ups and went to underware. It was about 5 days of accidents, but then he got it. One thing that I think really helped was that he had to clean himself up after each accident. We never yelled or scolded, just said, go to the bathroom, take off your own wet clothes, clean yourself up with a washcloth and then go get dry clothes and put them on. He hated it! And after a few days of cleaning himself up, he stopped having accidents. It was advice from our doctor, that we needed to make the potty process ours son's job and not ours. Worked for us.

Re: potty training problem

Same thing happened to us. At daycare he wore training pants (thick underwear) with plastic pants. At home, pull ups. Refused to go potty, peed and pooped in his pull up. Got rid of the pull ups and he's now wearing big boy boxer briefs. I still use pull ups at night -- not ready to take that step yet even though he's dry 99% of the time.
