swimming pool and pee problem
My 4 year old is not fully toilet trained. She also uncontrably peeing when she is crying. My friend thinks that she should attend swimming pool. She can get cold and make matters worse.
It is the only activity she likes (touch wood) and I hate to stop it.
What should I do?

Put her in little swimmers -- swimming diapers. At our pool any child that isn't potty trained is required by law (health department) that they wear them and if you don't have any, they sell them to you for $1 each.

DS is potty trained, but even before he was and wore little swimmers, he knew not to poop or pee in the pool (and bathtub)

As for getting cold -- when she gets out of the water, make sure you have a towel to wrap her up with right away.

She wears swim diapers and plastic underwear outside. I still don't know if it make her condition worse in terms of uncontrollable peeing.

Have you asked the doctor about this uncontrollable urinating when she is crying? I am sure it could be normal for her age, but it sounds like it could possibly be some type of medical issue. I would have it checked out just to be sure.
