Hello, My name is Ishmal, my native country is India and I recently move here to United States. My youngest son, Farqui is seeing these commercials about the zoo pals and is trying to convince me to buy these items but I'm not sure if this will start a bad habit trend of him depending on the animal to eat. I don't want my son to develop any fetishes when eating when he think he needs to see the zoo pal to complete his meal. In my country food is hard to come by and I want him to know to finish his plate with out this zoo pal appearing.
We normally use plastic type plates for my kids to eat off of. I will pick up some zoo pal plates if we are having company and lots of kids over. They like them, but never have gotten attached to them. My kids will eat off anything I give them food on. They are usually more picky about how I actually cut the food!! Ha Ha. I only buy the paper plates when we have lots of company and I don't want to wsh a million dishes. Good Luck!
I suggest not letting him watch the channel showing the commercial for the zoo pals.
When it comes to my 5 yo and tv, I am VERY strict about what she watches right down to the commercials they show. I've found 2 channels that don't show these "child friendly" commercials and they tend to have the more educational programming. I don't see the need for my child to be marketed to, but then that's just me.
I think the idea of only having the zoo pals for lunch is a grand key to this being success! I think I will advance to the store to buy the zoo pals later in the weeks. I wonder if they have camel zoo pal because that would continue the traditional culture from my country! Does anyone know if there are camel zoo pal?
I believe they do have a camel in the zoo pal plates. They are all a variety, though, so you can't pick only one animal to purchase. I've gotten these plates for my kids before. It's no big deal. Although, I have a very, very picky eater and I said I would buy it one time and if he didn't start eating more foods, I wouldn't buy them again. Needless to say, we haven't bought them since.
