PLEASE HELP... miscarriage or period? or??? - Parenting Issues Message Board

I was over a month and a half late, me and my BF both were pretty sure I was pregnant. But yesterday, I started bleeding, it was barely nothing at first then there was nothing... then I woke up and there was blood everywhere on me... and all day its been crazy heavy. It doesn't look like my regular period, there are red clumps in it and its alot redder then it usually is... I have cramps like my period but there is something diffrent about them like I also feel naushes. Could this just be my mind playing games or have I miscarried or could if just be a weird period?? PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

The best thing to do is if call your dr and have him/her see you. This does sound like a miscarriage but you won't know until you contact the dr and sometimes a miscarriage won't be complete and the dr will have to do a d&c.

I had a miscarriage before and it was very painful,just like contractions at childbirth. I agree with the previous post that you need to see a doctor immediately. Most likely they will do a vaginal ultrasound which will show if there is anything left or if it completely came out. If not then they will have to do a D & C (Dilation and Curretage) to clean everything out. Don't delay this, call them and tell them exactly what happened to you.

i would suggest going to your dr as soon as you can. they can do a blood test to see if you have any of the pregnancy hormone in your body (which could tell you whether you are or aren't pregnant).

See a doctor

I had an aunt that was pregnant
Then she lost a lot of blood like you describe

She had been through a miscarriage before and was sure that she had miscarried
So she did not see a doctor right away

When she did see one she found that she was still pregnant
And that they needed to do some things for her.

I think they said the blood could have been from a second fetus that actually was miscarried
Or could have been some thing else too

But they did say she should have come in sooner
The baby was healthy in the end though.
