My three and a half year son refuses to use the toilets. Whenever he wants to do it he asks for a disposable diaper.Is there anyone who can help me in getting him to use the toilet. I am thinking of pre-school but this is keeping him back. Help!

Does he want to go to preschool? If he does you need to tell him that he CAN NOT go to preschool until he is potty trained. Tell him the teacher doesn't want diapered children there. If you can, take him to a preschool and make sure you point out that the kids at preschool don't use diapers.

Have you tried a reward system? He is old enough to know he needs to use the potty and maybe he just needs an incentive. Let him put a sticker on a chart everytime he goes. If he gets like 5 stickers in a day, give him something REALLY special. A trip to the store for his favorite candy, an ice cream. Then if this works for a few days, move it up...like he has to go for 2 days. And so on. Let him put the sticker on the chart himself. And point out how many more he needs to get the prize. If he has an accident don't punish him for it...just remind him that if he wants a treat he HAS to use the potty.

This might sound strange, but have you tried putting cheerios in the toilet? lol lol I just KNOW your eyes are bugging out right now!! lol lol
Little boys LOVE to "aim" at things. Put some cheerios in there and tell him to try and sink the cheerios. I am laughing as I type...but it has worked for several people I know! lol lol lol

When I started potty training my daughter, I got a diaper from my sister who had a child 10 months younger than mine, and tried to put it on my daughter. When it didn't fit she went and got the panties. I also used the reward system.
