| Re: Should teens take antibiotics for bad pimple cases?
I sought medical help for my son during his acne days. The more you can do to help your child through these difficult times of his adolescence, the better..in my opinion.
The medication lessens the swelling, redness and infected acne. It makes the acne much less noticeable, and creates much less attention to be drawn to his face. The acne lasted less time, and had much less impact on his face as he went through it. Using other topical acne products on his face got him to practice great facial hygiene, making him proud of his clear skin and less conscious of his break outs.
Teach him how to best care for his skin, that will last a lifetime rather than drag this period of our teenagers lives out longer than necessary. Good luck!
