anyone else have trouble reading?

i am writing on behalf of my dad who told me that he has been unable to read since being diagnoses with pd. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem as well and figured out something to help them read. he says that he is able to read about a paragraph and then everything starts blending together.
thanks for any responses.

Parkinson's Disease doesn't affect visual ability, but it can hinder the movement of the eyes.

My Mom has had parkinson's for over 10 years now and has lately been saying that her eyes are really bothering her, and doesn't want to read anymore. It's sad, because she really used to enjoy reading. I don't really know that it is because of parkinson's, or something else.I would definitely discuss your concerns with his doctor, though. Good-luck!:)

you know--I've had PD for 15 yrs and I just began to notice the same thing about a month ago. I'll bet we need to get some exercises for PD eyes-I'm sure it must be the muscles in the eyes getting weak-and like everything else will be helped with exercise.
