Wearing off leading to fluctuations

I had the most horrifying experience on Saturday.I had been sleeping for 2 hours and went to the bathroom; returned and was experiencing a full body tremor, my teeth were chattering.
It took a half hour to ease off. Anyone ever have this experience?
