PD symptoms? - Parkinson's Disease Message Board

For the past 5 years I've had balance issues, depression and overall change in mood. I've been put on cymbalta, nortriptyline to control the balance issue, Synthroid because of an underactive thyroid and now the latest Mirapex because of a sleep disorder (periodic leg movement disorder). Apparently I move my legs a lot during sleep. I also noticed in the last 6 mos or so an increase in finger twitching when I hold my hands still. I've noticed since taking Mirapex the twitching is more frequent and has even started on the right hand. Could these be signs of Parkinson's Disease?

Have you had a MRI of brain and c-spine? You symptoms could be a lot of different things. Make sure you are seeing a good neurologist.

Yes, I have had two MRIs (not of spine). I have had iron levels checked too. I'm currently seeing a Neurologist and when I asked him if there is another underlying problem here like Parkinson's or MS he says no.
