deep brain stimulation

hi
i have just been told that the hospital can go ahead with the assessment
and surgery by deep brain stimulation. they have said a lot about the technical
side of things but i would like to know more about the personal side from people
who have had the operation like how the operation felt and side effects it has
caused both positive and negative this would be most appreciated

I would like to know what answers you get, as I have had that proposed by my doctors. Mine say there is only a 50/50 chance of success, so I have held off and am just trying to cope with the situation I am confronted with at this time.
