Ems/ nmes

Good morning,
I have been going to PT and one of the treatments I receive is neuromuscular electrical stimulation.
This treatment seems to work very well and alleviates some of the stiffness in my leg.
Does anyone have any experience with home EMS/ NMES units?
I have a few questions if you do…. What is the difference between an EMS unit and a NMES units?
The prices for these units vary widely….. Is one significantly better then another a unit if so do you have it any recommendations for brand and model?
I'm willing to take a chance buying a home system, but would appreciate some input so I'd don't do it in the blind.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Have a great weekend!
