Cool A Dozen Things To Do Today

1.Remember that some of the world's nicest joys are its most special people, and that you are definitely one of them.

2.Take care of that special person.

3.Enjoy the ride.

4.When the world is too busy, slow it down.

5.Climb one rung higher on the ladder to your stars.

6.Imagine what the view will look like when you get where you're going.

7.Stay in touch with your inner voice; it always speaks the truth.

8.When you've been working too hard, give your batteries time to recharge.

9.Remember that you are someone who is thought of - with friendship and with love.

10.Keep a smile on that wonderful face of yours.

11.Have a great day.

12.And be happy!

Darrell,
A very good list for all to put to use especially at moments when the world begins to look dark. We do need to take stock of what kind of image we are sending to those around us.
One of the very difficult things for me to do when i have bradykinesia is smile. In order to project an image that i would prefer i lool in a mirror and move my fingers over my mouth until i get it in a more acceptable position. Yes, it looks stupid. But when i look at myself with brady, t hat's worse.

you are doing an excellent job keeping put group morale!!

Pete, Thanks for the kind words. I try very hard at staying positive and I try to pass iy on. Being positive can be very difficult at times.Like right now, I have dyskensia so bad I can barely stay in my chair. But, I REFUSE to give in to this monster.

Darrell,
Thanks for that and all your postings. I have enjoyed them. You are so positive and that is wonderful. I try to be, but so often my mood is "why me and it's not faif and what did I do to deserve this". I know we have all been there but I seem to keep going back. People like you are so helpful in keeping people like me, more on the right track. Plus, we know that you understand, having been there, done that. No one really knows what it's like, except those who have PD. Thank you and the others with such a pleasant, positive attitude!

Betty, I know it's hard to stay positve, that's why I constantly on the lookout for things just like this. That will pick you up and may you feel better. I try to keep one thought deep in my head and that is "There is a cure coming." Just think as each day passes we are just that much closer to a cure. I was listening to a song, called STOMP by Kirk Franklin, one short verse is one of my new mottos: Don't Let The Devil Steal Your Joy!
