Baclofen for dystonia in legs - Parkinson's Disease Message Board

Has anyone used Baclofen to help with dystonia and cramping in the legs? My Mum has this problems from the hips down and the legs are like two wooden poles. She cannot bend her legs at the knees. Her MDS has prescribed Baclofen for her. I wonder if you all would let me know if you have tried it with its pros and cons.

Carrot cake,I dont know about that meds.But how about therapy.Bill as had it in the past.It helped him, his was in his neck.

Thank you for your kind words. I have started my Mum on the Baclofen as the Dr. wanted her too, although I am not too happy about adding another med to her regimen. She has had some relief but I will have to watch her for side effects. Also therapy is good as you suggest ed, however she had little relief in this case thus far.
