An excellent book on Parkinson's disease is 'Parkinson's Disease: A Complete Guide for Patients and Families', by William Weiner, MD, Lisa Shulman, MD and Anthony Lang, MD, Johns Hopkins University Press (2001).

It is easily readable and comprehensive. All three authors are internationally recognized specialists on Parkinson's disease and have themselves made significant contributions to Parkinson's research. The cost is about $16.

Yes, that is an excellent book.

While we are talking about books, another excellent book is "Shaking up Parkinson's Disease" by Dr. Abraham Leiberman. I haven't finished it yet. but the part I've read is very good. You don't have to read it all the way through. You can skip around and read the chapters that interest you or pertain to you.
