The reason i call it a parkinson garden is my goal is to have a garden free from toxc chemicals which are suspected to cause pd.

Last Fall i started creatind six raised plots, that involved unloading about 100 fourty pound bags of topsoil plus vermiculite to loosen up the soil. I used only oomposte manure (organic).

Even though i have difficulty walking, poor stamina, and poor muscle strength, today i have spinach, potatos, tomatoes, green beans and zuchinni growing in each plot.

It is very rrewarding to accomplish something tha few people believe that i can do it. It takes a lot of patience and planning, but i believe that most pwp's could do the same thing.

Bruce,

You set an example of what will power can do.If the new veggies are as good as the tomatoes you sent us a while back! A hint.!!!!! I miss a garden.Living in a condo is easier for me now.But I miss the garden.

Googy, the spinach must be good, because i eat it every day. Some of it is about mature.

I received strawberry plants yesterday and decided i wasn't up to setting them out yet.

This morning, it was nice and cool and i was well rested.It went much easier and i squeed in 16 plants and had enough energy to mulch them. I had raked up pine straw in the past for each plot.

All of his was done while sitting on my scooter. I just drive it up close to the plot and start planting.
